Byrds Theme Night
We're excited about this coming weekend. We're part of a "Byrds and Spinoffs" tribute show at the Gulu-Gulu Café in Salem, MA (www.gulu-gulu.com) on Saturday, February 18th. It's put on by our friend Dave Simmons. What is Byrds and Spinoffs? The Byrds part is probably self-explanatory; the Spinoffs is not another 60's group, but means all the individuals and groups who've had members who were at one time a part of the Byrds. So that would include Crosby, Stills & Nash (and Young), the Flying Burrito Brothers, Dillard & Clark, Gram Parsons, Gene Clark, Desert Rose, etc. We have some great Byrds songs that we often sing, but we may try something a little different this time. If you have the inkling to hear some great tunes, stop by. The music starts at 7:00; Finally Friday goes on at 8:30 or so.
